Dr. Katz specializes in the latest treatments for carotid stenosis, lower extremity blockages and varicose veins. He also has special expertise in stroke prevention and treatment. Dr. Katz is experienced in using angiography and angioplasty for stenting and atherectomies.
He performs minimally invasive endovascular surgeries, surgical revascularization and is an expert in treating aortic aneurysms. Additionally, Dr. Katz develops nonsurgical treatment plans for patients to monitor ongoing vascular conditions.
Biography
Dr. Katz is board-certified in vascular surgery by the American College of Surgeons. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is currently a clinical associate at the University of Chicago, where he also served a fellowship in vascular surgery. Additionally, Dr. Katz is one of Chicago’s leading physicians for dialysis access evaluation, creation and maintenance.
