Beatrice Mounts, M.D.
My life-long ambition was to become a doctor, a good doctor. That requires intelligence, skills, responsibility and understanding; but most importantly, it requires caring for healthy people as well as caring for the ill.
Dr. Mounts is a product of the Illinois education system. She received her Bachelors from Southern Illinois University, earned her medical degree from Finch University of Health Science at the Chicago Medical School and successfully conducted her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center. She also completed training in advanced laparoscopic surgery at MacNeal Hospital. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was the recipient of numerous scholarships and honors throughout her medical education. In return, she routinely participates in a variety of local community health and educational programs, and conducted research on maternal and child issues. Dr. Mounts is a member of various professional societies including: the American College of OB/GYN, the American Medical Association, and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy. A native of the Pilsen community and fluent in Spanish, she is a bilingual and bicultural Mexican-American physician.
