Biography

Dr. Ameet Parikh completed his undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Academic Honor Society. Dr. Parikh went on to complete his residency training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Parikh completed his Cardiology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. His particular interests include diagnostic cardiovascular imaging, cholesterol and cardiac risk-factor modification, and coronary artery disease. Dr. Parikh is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. In addition to being part of Vanguard Medical Group he is also part of the prestigious Heart Care Centers of Illinois since 2009.
