Dr. Mejia specializes in hand surgery and microsurgery as well as general orthopedics and fracture care. He has lectured nationally on subjects ranging from care of burned hands and treating injured tendons, to carpal tunnel syndrome and other common hand injuries that could affect you or your family.
Biography
Dr. Mejia earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois. He completed his surgical internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago, followed by a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Louisville. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and has an added qualification in hand surgery. Dr. Mejia is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
