I believe that the key to providing quality care is helping my patients feel as comfortable as possible. By listening attentively, educating and providing guidance, I am able to serve as an empathic ally in the overall medical care and decision-making process of the women for whom I care.

Biography

Dr. Michael Gavino received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. A native of Chicago, he subsequently returned to the area and earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Dr. Gavino went on to complete a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Chicago Hospitals, where he served as Academic Chief Resident. Dr. Gavino has been consistently recognized for exemplary commitment to teaching as well as his compassion, competence and respect in the delivery of care. He was a three-time recipient of the distinguished Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Gavino is a member of various professional societies, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His fluency in Spanish is truly an asset for his patients.
