Philosophy

Communication is a key to all relationships, particularly as we bridge cultural and language barriers. My ambition is to blend my medical skills and bi-cultural understanding to my patients to improve their health.

Biography

Board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Cancellaro earned her diploma, and certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poland, and successfully completed a medical education scholarship program at the University of Edinburgh Medical School, Scotland. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency in 2002 from Mount Sinai Hospital & Medical Center, Chicago and over the past decade has lectured in Immunology for American medical students in Poland; and, she taught medical students at Finch University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School and also at the University of Illinois. She also staffed a regional women’s health care clinic in Poland. She was the recipient of scholarships and honors throughout her medical education and has published frequently on topics related to maternal and child health. In 2003 she received an award for outstanding research in women’s health in Chicago, IL. Dr.Cancellaro is an experienced bilingual and bicultural Polish American physician, wife and mother of three children who is interested in helping you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
